NinjaBee, developer of World of Keflings told IGN it’s planning on releasing a sequel to A Kingdom for Keflings. Have people outgrown their kingdoms from the XBLA game and want to move into a larger scene?

Kingdom of Keflings recieved high rankings and was one of the most popular XBLA game for a while due to it’s laid back strategy style where players helped the Keflings build their small town into a nation/kingdom. Full Xbox Live Avatar support was in the game, which is planned for the sequel as well as many more kingdoms with diverse culture, climates, and resources to keep the players interested for longer.

“A World of Keflings is much more than a sequel,” said Steve Taylor, the current President of NinjaBee. “It’s a new game with a ton of new features, including some innovative ideas that stand out from both Live Arcade and full retail games. A World of Keflings also has a new story focus, with new exotic lands, characters, quests, buildings, customization options, and a lot more.”

One of the kingdoms to explore in the upcoming release.

“When we set out to make a second Keflings game we decided that we were going to do it right and make it a whole new experience that clearly was bigger and better than the first,” said Brent Fox, Art Director of NinjaBee. “A World of Keflings captures all the charm and casual-style of play of the first game, but adds more depth, humor and a ton of features players have requested.”

As for the requested features- is local multiplayer! Cooperate to build kingdoms with friends in the same room… the first only had online multiplayer, which would require two xboxes with xbox live accounts to play with eachother in the same room…

Release date is set for sometime in 2010.

The television program on BBC called Watchdog recently reported about the thousands of Xbox 360 customers complaining of their system scratching game discs.  Microsoft had a pretty weak response, claiming that the scratching was likely due to user error.   BBC Watchdog show recently reported on how thousands of people have complained that the Xbox 360 is scratching their discs.  However, Watchdog discussed tests suggesting that Xbox 360 discs on older consoles are somewhat easily damaged.

We sent the same Xbox 360s to a lab in Hampshire, where special testing equipment replicated the vibrations you’d find in a typical home. The first test simulated walking and caused the consoles no problem at all. Then the boxes were subjected to shock vibration testing, which simulated vibrations equivalent to that of someone putting a book down on the table near the Xbox. The newer console passed with flying colours; however, the older console caused a scratch similar to those experienced by the previous owner.

Our testers told us that the console had failed “very, very quickly” and that these are the kinds of vibrations you’d expect any household to have – particularly when playing games like Rock Band and Guitar Hero that encourage you to get physically involved.

[ad#adt]Xbox Live’s “Major Nelson” gave us the top 20 Xbox Live Indie Games of 2009 and I MAED A GAM3 W1TH Z0MB1ES 1N IT!!!1 is numero uno. It’s only a buck, but it’s got a stupidly funny theme song and ridiculously simple (but fun) gameplay.

XNA Creators Club forums put up a more detailed list showing sales and numbers. Xbox Livers purchased 160,000 copies of the zombie game, which means developer James Silva pocketed about $112,000…. good lord..
